    Children and Young People

    Children and Young People are extremely important to the people of Ceredigion, and to those who organise and provide services for them.

    In order to plan services efficiently for Children and Young People, the agencies in Ceredigion get together in a number of statutory partnerships. The main partnership with overarching responsibility is the

    Ceredigion Children and Young People's Framework Partnership

    who work to the following agreed Vision Statement

    We will work together to improve opportunities for all children, young people and families to enjoy life, learn, thrive, and grow into healthy, confident and capable citizens.

    We will achieve this by:

    • Placing our children and young people at the centre of our activities;
    • Keeping our children and young people safe;
    • Promoting their physical health and emotional competence;
    • Fulfilling their potential through formal, informal and non-formal learning;
    • Including children and young people from all backgrounds;
    • Enabling them to take part in and develop a sense of belonging to Ceredigion's bilingual culture;
    • Developing mutual respect and trust between children, young people and their families and the community through regular consultation and participation.

    There are two other important partnerships that sit underneath the Framework Partnership, that are responsible for 2 age groups:

    • The Children's Partnership 0-10
    • The Young People's Partnership 11-25

    The purpose of this website is to provide detailed information for those that are interested in the function and plans of the three partnerships, as well as to provide information on other important plans and strategies that aim to deliver coordinated services for Children and Young People.

    The Cymorth plan aims to deliver targeted preventative services and the National Service Framework for Children, Young People and Maternity Services sets standards for a number of services delivered to Children and Young People.

    You will also find other useful documents which records the work of the partnerships, which includes some of its assessments, agreed strategies and minutes of meetings.
