    Ceredigion 2020

Welcome to Ceredigion 2020 - the Community Strategy for Ceredigion

    What is a Community Strategy?

A Community Strategy sets out a vision of how the County area as a whole, specific parts of it or local communities will develop in the next 10 - 15 years.

A Community Strategy is more than wishful thinking. It has to be based on what is possible, given local constraints, such as the availability of funding.

The duty to prepare a Strategy has been given to the Local Authority, however, this is a Strategy for the County as a whole. It is an overarching framework for all Services provided within the County.

    Our Vision ...

"Ceredigion in 2020 will be a self confident, healthy, caring, bilingual community, supported by a strong local economy using the skills of its people, making wise use of the resources of its high quality environment, providing opportunities for all to reach their full potential."

A Strategy has been prepared to deliver the Vision for Ceredigion.
